At the beginning of 2020, Guangzhou IFC was honored with The Global 10 Year Award by CTBUH for its long-term maintaining high-quality operation since built and outstanding value, economic benefits as well as social contribution. Early in the 2011, Guangzhou IFC has been honored with The Best High-Rise Building Award.

On November 1, 2019, after two-day review, Guangzhou International Financial Center was officially certified by boma China Coe, becoming the first super high-rise complex landmark building with international operation management system in South China and the first REITs asset project in Asia to obtain boma certification.

LEED Certification System, one of the world’s three major green building standards, is established by United States Green Building Council (USGBC), which is considered the most complete and influential evaluation standard among various global building environmental assessment, green building assessment and building sustainability assessment standards. Among them, the platinum certification is the highest level of LEED certification and the most difficult to get, which is known as the “Oscar” Award in the green architecture. Only five percent of all projects certified in the world can receive this honor, which is with great value.

LEED EBOM (LEED for Existing Buildings: Operation & Maintenance) certification obtained this time adopts a higher standard version of V4, with more certification difficulty than V3, and more stringent requirements on energy saving and consumption reducing, representing the highest standard in the current green building.

The project of Guangzhou International Financial Center was selected into the final shortlist of 2012 Royal Institute of British Architects Lubetkin Prize. On the evening of October 13th, 2012, Vice General Manager Huang Weigang attended the dinner of Stirling Prize Ceremony in the Manchester Town Hall, UK, and was awarded the Lubetkin Prize in 2012. It means that the project has been widely recognized in the international architecture field, and the project management and control ability and design vision of Yuexiu Group as a development unit have also been praised by the international industry. The award winning ceremony was broadcast live on BBC television and the award winning news was broadcast on many main TV and Internet media worldwide, which greatly improved the international visibility and influence of Guangzhou International Financial Center.

On Dec 4th,2014,Guangzhou IFC has been awarded The 12th Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize.

Guangzhou International Finance Center (IFC) won the Luban Award, the highest award in the construction industry, at 2012-2013 Luban Award Commendation Meeting in Beijing. Since its establishment in 1987, Luban Award has become the supreme symbol for quality management and engineering level in the construction industry, It enjoys a widespread reputation and can be called the symbol of corporate credibility.

Since 2015, Guangzhou International Financial Center has obtained the building sustainability index verification mark every year jointly awarded by Tianhe District Central Business District Administration Committee (Tianhe CBD Management Committee) and Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency.
